To our knowledge, ours is the only two-story ballroom in Santa Monica or on the Westside. Our main ballroom boasts a capacious sprung maplewood dance-floor, proscenium arch stage with full stage lighting, electric curtain, backstage dressing rooms, a concert grand piano, and a screen for film, or other projections. It is suitable for all types of performance and can accommodate a dance band, or a DJ.
Upstairs, the wide balcony affords a view down to the ballroom floor and stage. There is plenty of space for tables around the rail and the adjacent dining room can seat 60 people, or accommodate 180 for cocktails. The dining room also features floor to ceiling windows, chandeliers, and a sprung hardwood floor for dancing. We hold our dance classes here and it is often the preferred floor for dancers under instruction.
The Club hosts regular dance nights on a Monday for tango and Wednesday for ballroom dancing. Our guests tell us that the sprung floor makes all the difference. The Club has a proud history of hosting special dances and socials – not even two World Wars could stop us.
